From 2 to 5 December 2014, at the Baku Expo Center, Azerbaijan, the Bakutel exhibition - «Telecommunications and Information Technologies» was held. The largest system integrator, russian company Polymedia, was presented at the exhibition with several solutions in the field of information visualization. In particular, an interactive video wall was developed for the company's stand, demonstrating the possibilities of visualization and interaction with users. Interactive installation works in two modes.
In the first mode, video wall displays photographs of modern Baku, divided into 578 virtual cubes. As user moves, cubes turn over, revealing black and white photographs of the city of the 19th - early 20th centuries. Gesture control is based on the Asus Xtion Pro 3d camera.
In the second mode, video wall is controlled by a 55” touchscreen display. This mode is designed to demonstrate the ability to control content using a remote touch panel. With the help of the touch panel, users could display various photo and video materials on the video wall, as well as take a virtual tour of some installations, implemented by Polymedia.
